Yes it's all done in Photoshop except for the rough draft which was no more than a scribble in the margin on my drawing pad among other doodles and such.

When I create something in Photoshop I only "cheat" because I have to if I'm pressed for time during an assignment or something. If I'm doing it for my own pleasure I take pains to try to make it as similar as when I draw in real life. I wouldn't want to use the term "paint" when it comes to digital art because there's no comparison. Doing it in Photoshop using a Wacom is like drawing, not painting, so I'll compare it to my inks with a little blend of pencils in it.

As for a tutorial on this guy well hehe, I dunno if that would be very beneficial to any one but I'm in the process of putting together a new website ( again ) and my plans there include a tutorial- section.

Oh and thanks Law =)

Very nice! I'm impressed that you did this all in photoshop. Most people I think would sketch parts and just use photoshop for editing the pieces together.

You should make tutorials for advanced graphics editing in photoshop. I make websites from time to time and my photoshoping could use some updating.

Ass, foremost leg and half of the second leg all done. Working on the calf and then I'll do the foot. Some adjustments to the sword along with a little texture on the blade and then a few more post prod highlights and I'm finished. I'm sporting a fanciful 1000 layers on this one =)

Back, midsection, left arm and shield are now finished along with the belt and its leather extentions. The next steps are the legs ( of which half is also finished ) and feet. I'm thinking of saving his ass for last.
